2020 Summit

The Pitt Coalition of Pre-Health Students is proud to announce that the 4th Annual Pitt Pre-Health Summit will be held on March 1, 2020. The Summit is a large event that aims to bring together interdisciplinary pre-health students from Pittsburgh and surrounding areas for a day of learning, collaboration, and networking so that together we can build the future of healthcare.

This year's Summit will include:

  • Keynote Speaker Dr. Bruce (BJ) Miller Jr.
  • Two Breakout Sessions of your choosing
  • Networking Fair with graduate schools and other opportunities
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided

CPHS is very excited to be bringing Dr. BJ Miller to kick off the event! Dr. Miller is a hospice and palliative care physician currently based in San Francisco. While in college, his own near-death experience cost him three of his limbs and ultimately inspired him to pursue redesigning end-of-life care. In his popular TED Talk with over 10 million views, he discusses a need "to bring intention and creativity to the experience of dying."

And then come to the Pre-Health Summit to hear more about his perspective on living, dying, and innovative healthcare!

*Tickets will be fully refunded for all Pitt students in attendance on the day of the Summit*
